Leave ME alone

Sometimes you feel so lost and hurt, tired and burnt
Covering distances is the last thing you need and walking alone ain't that easy,

Running out of steam you come to a stop
Eyes searching for directions but the vision doesn't last,

Waking up to the sound of the passing train
You regret not traveling with the gypsies for at least they don't complain,

Someday somebody told you to be free
And you set out on a voyage leaving behind all but Me,

You learned to find pastures in the sweltering desert
That made it easy but you still couldn't tell peace from pleasure,

No one could tell if it was red wine or blood in those glasses, unless they tasted
The blood spoke of how and where it flowed while the wine asked questions that never existed.
